If you are interested in becoming a Peer Advisor, applications are open now through February 12th.
A&S Peer Advisors have the opportunity to help other students, get involved in summer orientation and teaching GEN 101, improve presentation skills, and earn money while doing it all (and more)! To be a Peer Advisor you must be enrolled as a full-time student, have earned at least 30 credit hours, and have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Come have fun with us and help others at the same time!

01-28-2016: 14th Annual International Fashion Show
We are one day away from SAB's 14th annual International Fashion Show! This year's theme is Clash of the Fashion Empires. Come on out and enjoy the delicious food from Ramsi's Cafe on the World, beautiful international and local clothing, and the best performers from UofL! Presale tickets are being sold January 19th - 28th for $5 w/student ID at the front desk in the Student Involvement Office (SAC W310), $7 at the door, and $8 for community members. Join us to see the amazing Diversity around the world on January 29th at 7pm in the SAC MPR!
Today is also the last day for the IFS Giveaway! The lucky winner will win a free outfit from Dillard's that will be showcased in the Show! The application to become a 2016 Transfer Ambassador (TA) is now open! TAs serve the Office of Transfer & Adult Services, as well as the Office of Admissions, in a variety of capacities, and serve as a guide to incoming transfer students. A few of the benefits include an educational stipend, FREE UofL gear, and a great leadership experience for your resume. Attendance at the RSO Summit is no longer mandatory for retaining Good Standing. However, any organization that plans to apply for funding through the University is required to send at least one student representative to one of the Summits provided. Remember to bring your Student ID with you to swipe into the Summit. You will need to swipe in and out to get full credit for the event.
All RSOs are welcome to attend this Summit on September 11. Due to a conflict in scheduling, the HSC Summit has been changed to separate meetings for the Graduate and Professional Schools. School of Dentistry and the School of Medicine have been assigned a date. We are still trying to secure a date for the School of Law and the Graduate School Organizations.
07-15-2015: UofL Kick-Off Game Service Project
Following in the University of Louisville’s proud tradition of service, the LGBT Center is organizing a collection drive for Lost N Found Youth, Atlanta’s only non-profit organization dedicated to serving homeless LGBT young people, ages 13 to 25. Campus and community partners are encouraged to donate supplies for “street packs” that will be distributed to the shelter during the weekend of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. Donations that exceed the goal of 200 street packs will be shared with Louisville-area shelters.

02-18-2015: SGA Elections - Voting Ends tonight
Remember that the SGA voting ends tonight. The SGA is the overseer of all the RSOs and they are your voice for the University. Make sure you vote before midnight tonight. Vote for your favorite SGA candidates online via ULink! Go to: Ulink >> Student Services >> Ballots
An announcement of the preliminary results will be given on Friday, February 20.
Interested in earning $20 cash by participating in a KFC taste test? KFC is looking for millennials (ages 18-25) to taste some of their delicious new products! Please click on the link below to sign up. You’ll be asked a few questions including your email address. Then you’ll receive an email with a link to the current taste tests available.
Availability is first come, first serve. This test is scheduled Wednesday thru Friday, January 14-16 between 11am and 6:30pm.
08-28-2014: RSO Summit Registration
The Fall 2014 RSO Summit will be held on Friday, September 5th at 4:30pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Student Activities Center on Belknap Campus. Dinner will be provided.
There will be another RSO Summit on the HSC Campus on Monday, September 8 at 12 noon. Box lunches will be served.

06-28-2014: Org Sync Gets a New Look
Beginning July 22nd Org Sync will be sporting a new look. This new user interface will make navigating Org Sync much easier. We will be holding an interest session at the RSO Summit on September 5th to show RSOs how to circumnavigate the new Org Sync. Participate in CARDS Expo during freshman orientation. CARDS Expo is a one-hour RSO fair at lunch during the second day of orientation. This is a great way to get new students interested in your organization before the semester even begins!

The Heartbleed vulnerability that allows for stealing passwords, amongst other things, was found on Orgsync. They have corrected the problem as of 2:00PM EDT yesterday. If your account and password was created before 2:00 yesterday, it could be at risk. This is especially important if you use the same password for more than one site. Please change your password before continuing!

The second conference will be held June 5-7, 2014 on the University of Louisville Belknap campus. Alternative Service Breaks are designed to create both a volunteer experience and a cultural immersion for UofL student participants. There is a distinct focus on community building, relational leadership, and long-term personal impact. Program outcomes are achieved through direct service, intentional reflection, and shared experience.
ASB trips are not designed to be comfortable. The trips are focused on direct service and meeting the unique needs of a community. Students who choose to participate should do so with an attitude of flexibility and servant-leadership. The trip is truly an alternative to a traditional spring break on the beach. Students who have participated in similar trips described their experiences to be both transformative and rewarding.

UofL needs to show up for Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes' roundtable discussions on Monday, April 22nd, at 11am in the Floyd Theatre located on the 3rd Floor of the Student Activities Center. She has been all over the state and will stop in at UofL Monday. Let our elected officials know how UofL does civic engagement!
